Dance On Us (The Blue Studio)
A walk. A skip. A swing, twist and dip. The body moves; the body speaks. It speaks of reason; it speaks of emotions. In the First Singapore Humanism Workshop, members explore and appreciate this visual language of their body, of others and of humanity. Members learn basic body movements, moving with tempo and in a group, and dance improvisation.
Instructor: Ms Veronica Tan
Veronica is the president of her newly formed non-profit dance group “Awakening Room” in 2007. Her foundation was in Chinese dance but had studied at The Ailey School (New York). As a performer, Veronica has danced with Michael Mao Dance, Kristen Dexnis Dance and Bridge for Dance companies for 3 years. She has also performed with Teresa Fellion’s T. Lion Dance/Body Stories at the New York City 2nd Annual Dance Parade 2008. Currently, she also teaches contemporary dance at Dance on Us studios.
